2025 STUDENT SHOW:  Barriers and Bridges

Viewpoint Photographic Art Center invites all college and high school students of photography to submit photographs for an exhibition hosted by Viewpoint at the Step-Up Gallery. This exhibition, Barriers and Bridges, will run from April 9 to May 3, 2025, in conjunction with Sacramento Photography Month.

What comes to mind when you think about making a photograph to tell a story about barriers and bridges? Are you seeing them first as physical things? Do you have a favorite bridge or a barrier you would like to explore in photographs? Does it also make you consider social, cultural, and emotional barriers and bridges? Can you create a story about a barrier you have experienced and what bridge helped you overcome it? Your submissions may be individual photographs or a diptych with two images. You can also create a digital montage or collage of photos that express what barriers and bridges mean to you.
