Avoiding Photographic Chaos: Storing, Culling, Organizing, and Managing Your Imagery
Everyone has a need and perhaps a method of managing their images. This workshop will investigate many methods and practices that could work well for you. Consider your participation in this workshop a valuable investment in saving time and avoiding future anguish. We’ll discuss ideas and recommend ways to safely store, sort, and organize your images so you can find and use them when needed. Finding images when you need them is gratifying, and methods that can make this happen will make your image resources more valuable to you.
By presenting successful image management workflows, sharing ideas, and discussing questions you may have, we will specifically address saving and storage methods, reviewing and culling procedures, simple image labeling, and keywording options, and file scanning and organizing methods to help you find and utilize your images when you need them. The use of Adobe Lightroom will be emphasized; however, the techniques we discuss can also be applied using several other applications. You can achieve “authority” over your image library.
